Eric D. Johnson of Fruit Bats, Playing Seth Meyers Tonight, Talks Twenty Years With American Songwriter

It’s now been two decades since Eric D. Johnson began putting out records as Fruit Bats. “It’s almost weirder that 20 years ago, I was 24,” he told American Songwriter in a recent interview. “I’m also marking 20 years of being an adult.. I feel like I didn’t even really get going until 2015. Usually your first two years are the best, and then it’s just slowly downhill, but it’s sort of the opposite, in the best possible way. Fruit Bats perform tonight (Tuesday, March 9) on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Check your local listings to find it live, or stream it from NBC.com for a week starting tomorrow.
