Fruit Bats Go Track-By-Track With Relix

‘This was definitely not a coronavirus record,” Fruits Bats’ Eric D. Johnson told Relix about his new LP The Pet Parade. Johnson also told the site that working with producer Josh Kaufman was like “hiring a film director who has his own cast of actors. He brought in the Josh Kaufman Players, all of whom are friends of mine or became friends through Josh. Everyone was in a different room in a different city but, thankfully, all of them had home setups. Then there’s Josh himself. Some of the songs are just the two of us playing everything, which was fine by me because I adore the guy and he is an absolute monster of a multi-instrumentalist.” The site has a track-by-track rundown of the new LP, with detailed commentary from Johnson himself.
