Patrick Watson’s Uh Oh Is “Inspiring” Writes Music OMH

“If you’re a singer,” Music OMH observes, “there can’t be a scarier prospect than losing your voice.” The site explains that, “in late 2022, Watson was playing a gig in Atlanta, and during a rendition of his song ‘Here Comes The River,’ he ruptured a blood vessel in his throat. The next morning, he couldn’t make a sound.” Yet Watson soldiered on, and the site says the resultant LP Uh Oh “affirms that even the worst thing that can happen can be channelled into something inspiring.” The record, which features an impressive slate of guest vocalists alongside Watson, is reviewed here and at radio now from Secret City.
