John Noyd Praises The “Lush Cocktail Jazz” Of Inara George’s New LP

Music critic John Noyd describes the new Inara George album as “a whiff of sophisticated wit mixed with lush cocktail jazz.” Songs of Douglass and Littell, Noyd writes, “conjures sultry rebuttals, classy dalliances and chance encounters. Swooping moods groomed in sumptuous ballgown glamour, George’s gorgeous voice accentuates the tender orchestration fluttering in sassy sambas and shimmering in cosmopolitan opulence. Breezy movie-screen chic teasing fickle hearts, the composers’ exquisite wisdom dances beneath discrete arrangements taming candid romantic entanglements.” Read the review here.
