Animal Eyes Talks To Myspace, Shares Video With Impose
The members of Animal Eyes were recently interviewed by Myspace, which describes the band as “curious and exuberant” while praising how their songs build a “scene of adventure” “aided by energetic guitar chords, a thumping beat, and the crash of other instruments.” Over the course of the interview, the band explains that new album Where We Go was influenced by the “rebuilding and rediscovering” during a period of painful loss, touches upon their “bubble up out of the subconscious” lyrics-writing philosophy, and explores how their home state of Alaska and current residence of Portland influences Animal Eyes’ sound and aesthetic. “Something weird” is how Impose Magazine describes the video for “Mushroom Hunter,” which debuted on the site. “Do you like crawling around on all fours?” the magazine asks. “Do you like dressing up in crazy, furry getups?
