Hollywood Life Shares KAYE’s “Cheshire Kitten”
Hollywood Life says “KAYE is exactly what we need right now” and describes her new single “Cheshire Kitten” as “a future-funk track that challenges gender binaries and other cultural expectations.” The site has the premiere of the song’s new video, which was choreographed by Charlene Kaye and Jadée Nikita, as well as an interview with Kaye about the song and the video’s creation. She’s dressed in iridescent cellophane in the video, which she describes as “a material that’s clear so you can see my body, but it changes depending on which lights hit it and which environment you’re in. In addition to being a multi-faceted creature, I wanted to show [with the video] that there’s an element of survival to shifting shapes depending on the environment.”
