Glide Praises The Bird And The Bee’s New Van Halen Covers Collection
The Bird and The Bee released their newest project, Interpreting the Masters Volume 2: A Tribute to Van Halen last week. The album is gaining the acknowledgment of the likes of Glide Magazine, who noted the band’s focus on infusing the guitar-focused Van Halen originals with their own unique “keyboard-driven pop.” Focusing entirely on the David Lee Roth era, the band was driven highlight Eddie Van Halen’s compositional prowess. As Glide notes, Van Halen was trained as a classical pianist before he became a guitar hero.
Glide believes that a cover album that focuses on the songwriting, instead of just the rock sound of Van Halen, has been long overdue. Read the full article here.
