Imaginary Cities Going for Adds 4/23 & 4/24

Temporary Resident, the full-length from Winnipeg natives Imaginary Cities, is going for adds this week. The record has already received a lot of praise from the Canadian press including a nomination for the 2011 Polaris Prize, which led to an opportunity to open for The Pixies late last year. The group crafts indie-pop songs which range from the driving and soaring like that of Band of Horsesor Temper Trap mixed with the down-tempo, introspective songs of earlyMetric. The band recently performed an acoustic version of “Say You” which you can watch here. Filter Magazine called the performance a “solid showcase of the duo’s vocal compatability, soulful piano and lyrical strength.” The band will be hitting the road starting in May, including a stop at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
