New Music from the Punch Brothers
The Punch Brothers, who started their spring North American tour last week, have just released their newest album, Who’s Feeling Young Now? The band’s first Nonesuch release, Punch, was released in 2008 and combined elements of the band’s diverse musical interests and influences, including indie rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass, and classical music. Who’s Feeling Young Now? continues this interesting blend but with a stronger focus on songwriting. The album contains 10 original songs and two covers, one of Swedish group Väsen’s“Flippen” and an impressive rendition of Radiohead’s “Kid A”.
