CBC Shares A Short Film About Lido Pimienta
The CBC has posted Miss Colombia: The Road Home, a short film on 2020 Polaris Prize nominee Lido Pimienta. Made by Pimienta and Andres Landau, the film tells the story behind the artist’s LP Miss Colombia. “It’s about the disconnect,” she says at one point, “that immigrants feel; that longing for your country of origin.” Of course, that’s just one of many vibes present on Miss Colombia, which is currently up for a Latin Grammy in the best alternative music album category.
