New Music From Group Project

Montréal’s Group Project is everything one could wish for in a group: a song-making machine that blends folk rhythms, funky basslines, rock ‘n’ roll guitars, electronic percussion and synthesizers to create a distinctive take on alternative pop music with haunting and catchy lyrics. The group began in 2015 when Jeremy Harbec met Jacob Brown and they began experimenting with EDM and Pop beats in Harbec’s bedroom studio. In 2016, the duo started releasing songs on SoundCloud and connected with Alex Remington.

“Take Me Home” is an anthemic pop-rock track from their forthcoming and highly anticipated debut album, Here Now. The song captures the collective frustration of a generation grappling with the pressures of overwork and the emotional toll of a life spent in the grind. The trio’s signature sound blends driving guitar riffs with a catchy, upbeat rhythm. “Take Me Home” is a plea for balance, a call to step back from the demands of daily life and reconnect with the parts of yourself that get lost in the hustle. Through its relatable themes of burnout and the desire for personal fulfillment, Group Project taps into a cultural moment where many are searching for meaning beyond the 9-to-5. With its unapologetic hooks and emotional resonance, “Take Me Home” is not just a song, but a rallying cry to stop wasting time on things that don’t bring us joy—and to find a home within ourselves again.

“A sound that mixes folk and pop to create bright, bouncy songs with infectious choruses.” -CBC
