Gary Clark Jr. Breaks the Top 10 – Performs on Conan
After 8 consecutive weeks of climbing the charts, Gary Clark Jr. has broken the top 10! Blak & Blu is sitting next to other CMJ veterans like Clinic, Dirty Projectors, and Guided By Voices — not bad for a debut record. The record’s blues rock sound has found a place with fans of The Black Keys, Jack White, and Alabama Shakes. Clark stopped by the Conan studios to play a rousing rendition of “Numb”. In the performance, Clark showcases his virtuosity in between choruses by shredding and bending each note to make unimaginable noises.
