Slam Dunk – Daytrotter Session & PopMatters Review

While on tour last winter, Slam Dunk stopped in San Francisco to record a Daytrotter session that is as frantic and full of energy as their album Welcome to Miami. “Slam Dunk is the kind of band that is…out for stirring up some trouble. It’s up for screaming at the top of its lungs…In listening, it feels like you’re delivered somewhere that thrills you, somewhere that you’re petrified of staying too long in.” Click here for the full feature. PopMatters gave the record a rousing review, comparing the band’s “youthful rebellion/abandon formula” to bands like The Black Lips & FIDLAR. Read the review here. They’re playing the Treefort Music Fest with Built to Spill in March and will be announcing more dates in the near future. Be sure to catch them if they come through your city!
