Keaton Henson‘s new video “Sweetheart, What Have You Done To Us?” begins with a raw close-up of Henson before slowly zooming out to a backdrop of the endless sea touched by a gray horizon. As you are lost in the beauty of the landscape, Henson set against the vast ocean exudes the feeling of isolation so inherent in the message of the song. Check out the video here!

The record is both ethereal and grounded, evoking a deep sense of introspection and blending narrative lyrics with one-take lead vocal performances, cinematic arrangements, rich soundscapes, and lush orchestration. Vollebekk – who self-produced and plays piano, guitar, bass, B3 organ, harmonica, accordion and Moog synthesizer – compiled an impressive supporting cast including drummer Jim Keltner, steel guitarist Cindy Cashdollar (Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Rod Stewart), and bassist Shahzad Ismaily. The album was mixed by Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Arctic Monkeys, Tracy Chapman) and mastered by Greg Calbi.
