The Crackling – AbsolutePunk Album Review

The sophomore record from Vancouver folk-rock outfit The Crackling is ready for debuts at CMJ this week. Led by ex-Mother Mother drummer Kenton Loewen, the album’s ability to balance dark and bright tones has impressed not only those at radio, but also others like AbsolutePunk. “From start to finish, Mary Magdalene has few if any flaws”, says AbsolutePunk who go on to name check Nick Cave, Colin Meloy, Sufjan Stevens, and Iron & Wine in their glowing review. “Mary Magdalene just might be one of the year’s best albums.” Don’t miss out on the excitement around The Crackling.
