Essie Jain – Going for Adds

Essie Jain‘s unique audio-visual record will be going for adds this week. All Became Golden was directed by Natalie Johns, arranged by Nico Muhly (Björk, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, The National, Antony and the Johnsons, Grizzly Bear, Sam Amidon) and was created in the span of two days at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. The project was a collaboration between Essie, Nico, and Johns and the result is innovative, modern, and honest. Muhly explains that the bravery required to film in front of the camera was essential to display that “there’s no trick to making music like that happen.”

The passion felt from every member that contributed to this album emanates throughout the entirety of it. Take in the glow of All Became Golden and make sure to designate time to listen to this incredible album.
