Björk‘s Biophilia continues to gain spins at college radio stations with 43 stations debuting the new album this week. Björk spent years with researchers, producers, & writers to come up with what would become the multimedia/inter-disciplinary project that is Biophilia. She even pushed the release date to make sure her work was fully realized. She still sounds like no one else around, yet it’s hard not to notice the influence she’s had on artists like Zola Jesus & tune-Yards. If you haven’t checked out Biophilia yet, definitely do, it’s poised to be on many album of the year lists.
