Paul Ruske Going for Adds

Melbourne based singer/songwriter, Paul Ruske, is set to release his debut album Uncertain Times. Ruske (pronounced “Rusk” – the “e” is silent) has been making music in Australia for years, and owns a very successful sound design and music studio. Uncertain Times was mixed by Tchad Blake (Black Keys, Tom Waits) and is his first studio album. We serviced the single, “Days Like This”, in November. “Days Like This” portrays the New Zealand born singer/songwriter’s timeless songwriting style, one that echoes that of greats such as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon. His signature style is laced with soulful, gospel-tinged piano and a stirring voice that has the rare ability of saying what a generation is feeling. This soulful, gospel sound resonates deepest in the end track “Washed In the River”. For this track, Ruske collaborated with the Grammy Award-winning, South African Soweto Gospel Choir (U2, Robert Plant, Lady Black Mambazo). Familiar and undeniably relevant, Paul Ruske’s music is powerful. He has the true ability of writing a refreshingly honest collection of songs that plugs directly into the hopes and fears of living in today’s world.
