Consequnce of Sound Reviews Vetiver – Going for Debuts

Over the band’s 13 year run, Vetiver has gone through different incarnations with lead man Andy Cabic standing at the center of it. After going on tour opening for bands Fleet Foxes, The Shins, Fruit Bats; collaborating with the likes of Devendra Banhart & Joanna Newsom; and losing bandmates to their own personal projects (Pure Bathing Culture), Cabic continues pushing the musical tradition he started during the heyday of San Francisco’s freak folk scene with his new album, Complete Strangers. Consequence of Sound calls it “a subtle album that feels immediately familiar, yet reveals fresh and unexpected elements with each new listen.” “The expansive arrangements of producer Thom Monahan (Devendra Banhart, Beachwood Sparks) frame Cabic’s soothing vocals, enriching its 10 tracks with weight and energy.” Read the full review here.

Complete Strangers is looking for big debuts on Tuesday. Get the record up there with your station.
