Mr. Robinson Going for Adds

Though he comes from Worcester, England, has performed at the Glastonbury Festival, and has been featured on the BBCMr. Robinson’s sound is more Americana than British Invasion. His Bury Me Good EP eschews modern gizmos and gimmickry for old-fashioned songcraft that takes cues from the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and John Martyn. A multi-instrumentalist who crafts melodies on guitar, piano, clarinet, and saxophone, Mr. Robinson cites inspirations as diverse as his readings of Charles Bukowski to the gothic sounds of Eastern Europe.

The title track is a gorgeously catchy tune that transcends the acute marketing badge of demographic identification, aiming instead to relate to all who share an ounce of humor. It is accompanied by “Superlove”, an optimistic song with an explosive chorus, and the superbly orchestrated “Without Love”.
