Zella Day Talks with Idolator and Hits the Road, Playing Lollapalooza 2015

“As much as this music is for me,” Zella Day told Idolator in a June interview, “I’m making it for other people.” And it’s in that vein that she takes interviewer Mike Wass through a long and winding conversation about her upbringing, the symbolism in the song “Hypnotic,” and the years between her first forays into songwriting and her powerful new album Kicker.
