CHAPPO Visits TuneIn Radio, Shares “I Don’t Need the Sun” Video

CHAPPO, the New York-based art rock band whose album Future Former Self is a triumph of sci-fi influenced indie pop, appeared last week on TuneIn Radio‘s Reverb Radio. The band performed music from the acclaimed album, sounding excellent, and also gave a description of the album’s complicated backstory and philosophical underpinnings. The band has also made a video for standout track “I Don’t Need the Sun.” The video, directed by Ariel Danziger, features a confused and worried seeming protagonist ambling through a variety of disquieting situations, eating glass, and staring at both lakes and mirrors with a look of befuddlement. According to the band, “The video explores this thought: What if you were trapped in a waking life of parallel moments drifting from one reality only to wake up into another?” Watch the video, which premiered on Yahoo!
