Glint Finds Support from the DC Music Download and StereoDay, Debuts on the CMJ Top 100

Glint‘s new EP, Introvert, was recorded in the abandoned warehouses of Nynack, New York, where band mastermind Jase Blankenship drew inspiration from both the solitude and the artifacts left behind by the spaces’ previous corporate tenants. According to the DC Music Download, which included the EP’s lead track “While You Sleep” on last week’s list of Top 5 Songs You Should Know, “The band’s non-traditional studio worked out in their favor. The sound is unbridled, spacey and never sounds penned in.” Read the whole thing here.

In its feature, here, StereoDay says that “While You Sleep” “yearns and careens like a song on the outskirts of something. It’s an emotional, sweeping track that builds from quietly, acoustic moments into huge choruses that burst with fear, longing, and impatience.” Glint made a splash on the CMJ chart, landing at #97 in its first week. Thanks to stations like KBVR, KXUL, KTSW, WECS, WLFR and more for giving Glint a fast start at radio!
