The Bird and the Bee Play World Cafe, Singer Inara George Talks with the Dreslyn

“It’s hard not to use the word ‘effervescent’ when describing the jazzy pop music of The Bird And The Bee,” writes WXPN in its preface to the duo’s recent performance on NPR‘s World Cafe. Their setlist includes four peppy tracks from this summer’s Recreational Love, a fun-filled indie pop masterpiece that found success across the board at CMJ, Triple A, and Alternative Specialty radio stations. Check out their performance, here, recorded live in Los Angeles at the legendary Capitol Studios.

Inara George, the band’s singer, is the subject of a beautiful feature by the Dreslyn. The piece features quite a bit of substance about the Bird and the Bee and its process, but the real focus of the article is on George’s fashion choices and how they relate to what the band is expressing musically. Check out the feature, which includes stunning pictures, here.
