MixMag Features St. Germain, Who Tours North America Next Year

St. Germain is doing great at radio with his new, self-titled return after the 15-year hiatus that followed 2000’s Tourist. The album reached a new peak at #60 on the Radio 200 last week, making it to #9 on the RPM chart and #5 on the New World chart. According to MixMag, the album “builds on St. Germain’s deep house roots, incorporating a love of blues and jazz with his trademark hypnotic electronic loops and vocal samples.” Read about it, and enjoy the “fiery, percussion-driven” track “Real Blues,” here.
St. Germain is currently on tour in Europe, but Nonesuch has revealed that the artist will be coming to North America for a string of shows next Spring. Nonesuch has announced the touring lineup of “Guimba Kouyate (guitar), Didier Davidas (keyboard), Jorge Bezerra (drums), Sadio Kone (n’goni), Edouard Labor (saxophone & flute), Cheikh Lo Ouza Diallo (khora), Sullyvan Rhino (bass) with St. Germain himself at the center, acting as musical director.” Check out the dates below:
