Consequence of Sound and Stereogum Feature DTCV’s New Single

“Capital Ennui,” the first single from DTCV‘s fantastic new album Confusion Moderne, is streaming via Consqeuence of Sound. The song, which singer Lola G. compares to works by Stereolab and Gang of Four, is described by CoS as “a fuzzy, lazily bopping slice of post-punk where Lola’s vocals add a sense of beautiful lightness” despite French lyrics that touch on topics of white male privilege and the negative consequences of capitalism. Check it out here.

Stereogum has the song’s video, an Irwin Barbé-directed clip that was filmed in Prague and creates “a clear picture of the harsh reality” Lola’s lyrics address on the album. Go here to watch it.

DTCV is looking for a strong debut at CMJ next week. Get Confusion Moderne in rotation now.
