The Cave Singers, Touring Again in May, Talk to the Tucson Weekly
“This is the longest I’ve ever done anything in my life,” says singer Peter Quirk of The Cave Singers, the Seattle-based three-piece he’s spent the last decade fronting. In a recent interview with Tucson Weekly, Quirk explains how the band’s current slate of songs are “emotionally cooperative” and also gives insight into the new LP’s name. “I always thought of [the banshee as a] negative spirit that’s a tool of death. I did some more research about it and the more I read, a banshee is more like this voice of grief. They’re not the harbinger of death. They’re just a mourner. I thought that was really beautiful.” Read the interview here.
