The Donkeys “Theme From The Endless Summer” – Going for Spins

Earlier this year, The Donkeys released mini-album Midnight Palms, which peaked at #35 on the CMJ Top 200 and was met with rave reviews by AllMusic and PopMatters. In support of the release, the band is hitting the road for “The Endless Summer Tour,” a title that nods to the cult-classic 1966 surf film The Endless Summer. In the film, director Bruce Brown follows two young surfers around the world in search of the perfect wave. The Donkeys, now in their 12th year and out of San Diego, are no strangers to surfing and traveling!

To complete the homage, The Donkeys have shared a cover of the movie’s theme song, “Theme From The Endless Summer.” Paste Magazine featured the track here, and downloads went out to radio Friday, 7/29. Catch them on tour this month!
