Brooklyn Vegan Shares French Vanilla’s “Carrie”

According to Brooklyn Vegan, “If you like your music danceable with healthy doses of angst and angles (not to mention saxophone), you will likely dig” French Vanilla. The LA-based feminist punk group just released their debut, self-titled LP, and Brooklyn Vegan has the video for the album’s single. “Carrie” is lyrically inspired by the Stephen King novel of the same name, and the video takes some nods from Brian De Palma‘s classic film adaptation of the book. Yet “while director William Kaminski is clearly tipping his hat with the film’s prom setting,” the blog writes, “he also goes his own weird way.” Check out the video, which includes a cameo from Girlpool‘s Cleo Tucker, right here:

French Vanilla is just getting started at radio and is the perfect amped-up, dancey soundtrack for Spring. Get them going at your station right now!
