Overcoats Go Deep with Billboard, Climb the NACC Charts

Overcoats recently took Billboard on a deep dive of an interview, telling the magazine all about their new album Young and their story as artists and friends. “We want our lyrics to sound like a diary entry that you weren’t supposed to see,” bandmember Hana Elion tells the magazine, explaining the intimacy on display throughout Young‘s runtime. “I’m definitely somebody that writes something down as a way to heal…, and this is just the next iteration of that, sharing those fears and those anxieties rather than leaving them in a journal,” says Elion’s co-conspirator JJ Mitchell. Young is riding up the NACC chart, hanging just outside the Top 50. It also had a great second week of adds last week as many stations received their CD copies and got them in rotation. Keep spinning this lush, gorgeous LP from this promising up-and-coming duo!
