Overcoats Add Tour Dates and Interview with Scarlet and Black
Scarlet and Black has an interview with Overcoats, whose debut album Young is currently at radio with a deluxe edition featuring two additional songs. In the interview, the duo delves into their origin. According to band member Hana Elion, “we bonded over mutual love of anthropology and cheese puffs.” JJ Mitchell, her musical co-conspirator, added, “We would always just goof around and hang out and we were always there for each other all four years of college — and we’re both very creative people so that was always part of our friendship. … I would visit Hana in the painting studios… And she would come see me in the print shop and we were always involved in each others’ artistic lives.” Read the full thing right here.
