“I am really proud of the vulnerability that you can hear in the album,” Tanbark’s Chole Nelson recently told Trunkspace in an interview about her duo’s just-released second LP. “We tried to reference a mellow Laurel Canyon-esque musical landscape, but ground it in personally meaningful songs.” She delves into those personal meanings in the interview, which also includes her observations about navigating the modern musical landscape as an artist. Tanbark is at radio now and aiming for chart numbers at NACC Radio 200 and Folk.
