JAZZIZ Likes Samantha Sidley

Samantha Sidley likes girls, and JAZZIZ likes Samantha Sidley. The site recently featured Sidley, who is touring the US with The Bird And The Bee and Alex Lilly next month and releasing her debut LP Interior Person in September, and is hosting a stream of advance single “I Like Girls.” According to Sidley, who provided a quote for the feature, the tune (which was written by Lilly and Sidley’s wife Barbara Gruska) “is a song that not only celebrates how I express love but it also celebrates women as a whole. I’m a jazz singer and I wanted to sing songs that represented me but still sounded timeless. I used to just change the pronouns in standards but now I have originals in the genre especially about me and my story.” Check out the track here.
