Fourculture Shares The Video For Sincere Gifts’ “Ghost Of America”

Fourculture writes that “Ghost Of America,” the debut single from Sincere Gifts, is “a very light-hearted, upbeat blend of indie/alt with very dark contrasting lyrics. The band describes it as a “Leave-it-to-Beaver-esque” kind of vibe. A little bit Vampire Weekend, a little bit Wand – Sincere Gifts is certainly a unique and fun hodgepodge of sounds.” The site has the video for the track, which was animated by group member BenBen and includes homages to bygone eras of American culture as depicted in film. Especially poignant is the “nice hat tip to the late Adam Schlesinger,” the Fountains of Wayne/That Thing You Do songwriter whose penchant for a perfect hook clearly had an impact on Sincere Gifts’ style.
