The Aquarian Interviews The Dream Syndicate’s Steve Wynn

The Dream Syndicate didn’t plan to release their newest collection, the largely-improvised LP The Universe Inside, during a global pandemic. However, bandleader Steve Wynn can connect the album’s content to current events. “You are your own universe,” he recently told The Aquarian in a far-reaching interview. “You create your own landscape. It’s no longer what you see walking down the street or getting on a plane. It is what’s going on in your head. And I think we made a nice little soundtrack for that.” The Aquarian feature goes deep into the process that started with the band’s original, free-wheeling jam session and produced such a stunning finished product.
