Inara George, the multi-talented artist perhaps best known as one half of The Bird And The Bee, has curated Road Angel Project: Volume 4 in partnership with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which will receive all the proceeds. “I reached out to some of my musician friends to see if anyone had a track that they’d like to donate to the cause,” George says. According to Sweet Relief’s Aric Steinberg, “Sweet Relief is so grateful to be a part of the ‘Road Angel Project.’ It’s been incredible to see the music community come together during this pandemic, and this is another example of good people doing good things. The funds raised will allow us to help even more music industry professionals in desperate need and we are truly thankful for Inara’s support.”
The fourth installment of the series comes quickly on the heels of the third. It includes a new song from Another Bummer; a posthumous release from longtime Los Angeles-based musician Tony Fernandez, aka Mr. Banjo; and a track Dan Bern (Walk Hard — The Dewey Cox Story and Get Him to the Greek) wrote in 2012 around the time he was working on his album Drifter.
“[‘Outside’ by Another Bummer is] a gorgeously dreamy, gently psychedelic country-pop song with a sense of dusty openness and a kind of melancholy romanticism.” -Treble
“[Mr. Banjo’s track is a] beautiful, bittersweet tune.” -Elmore Magazine
