Sunny War Speaks With The Vinyl District And Rock and Roll Globe

“It doesn’t happen often” WFDU’s Evan Toth writes, “but every once in a while I drop the needle on a record and can feel something special happening; a sort of groundswell. As if something is growing, or getting ready to burst. This was my experience when listening to Sunny War’s new album, Simple Syrup.” Toth’s conversation with War, for a recent edition of his Radar podcast, is now live on The Vinyl District. Hear it here.

The prolific musician also has an interview with Rock & Roll Globe, telling the magazine about her musical history and current struggles. She also reveals that she’s been making some money on the side singing jingles. “I’ve done some commercials,” she says. “It’s like being a voice actor. You have to perform in a style that compliments the corny lyrics they give you to sing.” Read the interview here.
