The Calgary Herald Praises Schwey’s Diverse Sound

The Calgary Herald recommends Schwey's new record, Schwey 2: Cyber Soul. "Fans with a taste for space funk with a moon boot placed firmly in classic late ’70s/early ’80s R&B will be nodding along to the offbeat grooves," the site writes, praising the group's collage-like aesthetic while saying Schwey "knows how to keep it in the pocket. It’s just a very large pocket. If they were from L.A., they would be signed to Brainfeeder." They're from Vancouver, of course, and the LP is at radio now from 604 Records.
