American Songwriter has Sunny War atop its list of artists to watch in 2022. “We wouldn’t be surprised if the Los Angeles-based folk artist Sunny War had a Grammy nomination or two by this time next year,” the site writes, on the way to comparing her to the likes of Brandi Carlile and Valerie June. “She’s that skilled at both writing and performing.
