Higher Plain Music Reviews June McDoom’s Debut EP

Higher Plain Music, which previously hyped June McDoom‘s debut single “The City,” is out with a glowing review of her new EP. “Primarily a hazy, ethereal folk-driven collection of songs, one of its strengths is in how she mixes her sound palette with other genres to make music that shapeshifts carefully and thoughtfully.” According to the site, “It’s the vintage sound that steals the show throughout the EP.” Higher Plain notes that the first thing listeners will notice is the “texture and vibe,” as “the entire EP [sounds like it] is shrouded in fog and those moments of clarity are when the hook or bridges hit.” It’s an astute observation — this is definitely slow-rolling music that truly settles in with repeat listens.
