Rotka Embraces The “Surreal Guise” Of Ghost Party

Rotka – a website written in a foreign language we certainly don’t understand – recently featured Ghost Party’s new single “Yankee Reaper.” According to a translation, the site says the song “conveys the feeling of nostalgia and loss in an surreal guise and is processed with a vintage gospel tempo arrangement where characteristic instruments create a mayhem. ‘Yankee Reaper’, which also draws attention with its psychedelic energy, brings to mind a kind of cosmic mix between T.Rex and White Album sessions. Ghost Party is accompanied by pedal steel guitar master Will Van Horn, who draws attention with his contributions to the latest joint EPs of Khruangbin and Leon Bridges.” It reads like the press release, just electronically translated out of English and then back again, which is fun! “Yankee Reaper” is at radio now along with Ghost Party’s previous two singles.
