New Music From Bobby Bazini

With over a decade of success in the music industry, including multiple JUNO and ADISQ Award nominations, Platinum records, tens of millions of streams and sold-out shows Bobby Bazini made a triumphant return last year with his fifth studio album Pearl. “Maia” is the first single from Bazini’s follow-up four-track EP Stone of June, due out June 7 via Spectra Musique. Conceived and recorded alongside his latest album PearlStone of June was produced by Connor Seidel who was joined in the studio by an impressive set of musicians including Conner Molander (Half Moon Run), Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson), Eveline Rousseau (The Barr Brothers) and Antoine Gratton.

Two advance singles are now available from the EP, “Hometown (Take me to)” and “Maia.” According to Bazini, “’Hometown (Take me to)’ is that classic tune of thinking of finally settling down, moving back to your hometown, starting a family… You can feel the influence of Sam Cooke… What I love about Sam Cooke is how honest and real his music is. His voice and his songs are timeless. I was trying to channel a little bit of him with this song…. ‘Maia’ gives me the feeling of driving somewhere at sunset. It’s a song for the free-spirited. For anyone who needs to see beyond that horizon once in a while.”
