Spin Interviews David J About The “Inner Flame Of Inspiration”
Independent Project Records has just released Tracks From The Attic, a three-disc collection of cassette home recordings made by Bauhaus and Love & Rockets founder David J. It’s at radio now. David J also recently spoke with Spin.
In a new feature, the magazine delves into David J’s creative process, explaining that “he says that songs have to come to him unbidden. ‘And sometimes that’s a bit of an inconvenience… especially if you’re seized by an idea in the wee small hours of the morning…’ When that happens, J says, there’s but one thing to do. ‘Make a cup of tea and light a candle.'” Read the full feature here.
