Woo Speaks With It’s Psychedelic Baby Magazine
It’s Psychedelic Baby interviewed Mark and Clive Ives, the brothers behind the long-running and prolific UK experimental outlet Woo, last month. The brothers are at radio now with Xylophonics and Robot X, two releases at radio now now from Independent Project Records. According to Clive, improvisation is a huge part of the band’s ethos. He told Psychedelic Baby that “apart from the one year that Mark spent playing in the Royal Air Force band during his military training, neither of us has had any classical education in music. Our approach has always been to improvise, and Mark liked to record whatever we did, which has led to our large archive of tracks.”
