Alison Clancy Gets “Track Of The Day” Honors From White Light/White Heat

White Light / White Heat recently featured Alison Clancy’s “The Valley” as a “Track Of The Day.” The site calls the track “an eerie and ravishing musing that meanders on delicate yet passionate and stirring harmonies, rife with pent-up emotional intensity, loosely stitched on suggestive driving piano chords and backing ghostly guitar reverb, to find its immaculate and visceral means of expression in Alison‘s versatile vocal delivery.”

The site continues, “‘The Valley’ unfurls from an atmospheric, spectral backdrop reflecting arcane, willowy slide guitar echoes alongside spindly trembling synth strings, to arise minimal insistent phrases of a melancholic piano, layered vivid cascading rolling keys and abysmal resonant notes, augmenting the mesmeric unravelling of misty, droning zephyrs of aching nostalgia, whilst vibrant airy, gentle yet powerful vocal energies, breaking through a harsh, breathy crust, to emit rivulets of trembling fear mixed with steadfast devotion.” Check out the feature here; “The Valley” is at radio now from Independent Project Records.
