Pitchfork Celebrates The Return of Souled American

According to Pitchfork, “There are influential bands that spawn hundreds of soundalikes and then there are influential bands that spawn surprisingly few, not because their influence didn’t resonate but because their sound was so distinct, nobody quite knew how to emulate it. Souled American reside in that rarefied latter category… [now,] the pioneering alt-country band returns with its first album in 30 years—a set of cryptic, languid dirges that feels defiantly out-of-time.” Read the review of the album, which is now at radio from Jealous Butcherhere.
