Rolling Stone Enjoys Fruit Bats’ New Release

According to Rolling Stone, the new Fruit Bats album The Landfill “explores the unglamorous bits that make up the human story on a record that bristles with live energy.” The venerable magazine has a review of the new LP, which was just released via Merge Records. “On this 10-track collection,” RS writes, “Johnson is as adept at deconstructing melodies as he is platitudes. Inspired by the junk-filled holes in his native Midwest that eventually become mountains, The Landfill explores the unglamorous bits that make up the human story, and how everything that matters to us is born of something (or someone) else.” Get the full details here.
