Fruit Bats Play World Cafe And Appear on KVSC
Fruit Bats’ Eric D. Johnson recently joined Stephen Kallao on World Cafe to discuss The Landfill and the Midwestern landscape that helped inspire it. The conversation explores how a childhood memory became a way of thinking about failure and perspective, along with Johnson’s years teaching at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music and his evolving approach to songwriting. Listen here.
There’s more Fruit Bats on the radio this week! Johnson joins KVSC news director Shay Lelonek for The Menu tomorrow (Tuesday, October 20) at 4:30 pm local time (2:30 Pacific). Get the details here, and tune in. The Landfill is at radio now from Merge.
