BuryMeGoodArtThough he comes from Worcester, England and has received accolades from the BBCMr. Robinson’s sound is far more Americana than British Invasion. The Bury Me Good EP, which includes three songs harvested from his upcoming full length album, eschews modern gizmos and gimmickry for old-fashioned songcraft that takes cues from the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and John Martyn. A multi-instrumentalist who crafts melodies on guitar, piano, clarinet, and saxophone, Mr Robinson cites inspirations as diverse as his readings of Charles Bukowski to the gothic sounds of Eastern Europe.

The title track, a simple ode to a shifty lover, is a gorgeously catchy tune that transcends the acute marketing badge of demographic identification – aiming instead to relate to all who share an ounce of humor. It is accompanied by “Superlove”, an optimistic song with an explosive chorus, and the superbly orchestrated “Without Love”.
