Ronan Delisle is a guitarist, songwriter, and producer living in Los Angeles. His music combines a confessional lyricism with nuanced songcraft, often elevated by sonic textures that defy categorization. His most recent recording Heavyweights In The Ring is intimate yet expansive: immersing listeners in brooding yet determined sonic worlds that hinge on sinuous guitar and vocal familiarity. This collection of songs is rooted in Delisle’s unique sense of experimentation but somehow never far from the rawness of day to day life.
He has performed on numerous albums and has released several recordings of his own compositions and songs under his own name, as well as with his longtime band Señor Fin. For years, Delisle brought his experience both as a jazz guitarist and songwriter to Seattle’s vibrant free/improvised music scene to which he maintains deep ties with to this day. He has mixed and produced much of his own music and has also worked closely with engineer/producer Johnny Goss (La Luz, Shana Cleveland) of Dandelion Gold in Seattle on several records. Since moving to Los Angeles, Delisle has taken on more work composing original music for short independent films by Sean David Bradley and Haley Watson. He is also a session guitarist, contributing in studio and live to many creative projects all over the LA and Seattle areas. He has released over a dozen recordings to date, from improvised guitar albums to bedroom recordings, many of which are available on Bandcamp.
